Arabic manuscript on paper, 156 leaves plus a flyleaf, 11 lines to the page, written in elegant Naskh script in black ink, verses separated by gold roundels, margins ruled in gold, catchwords, opening illuminated headpiece comprising gold interlacing flowers punched with cintamani motifs, double page illuminated illustration of Mecca and Medina in watercolours, and the Tomb of the Prophet in Medina, some folios with illuminated marginal medallions, notes in red and black naskh script.
