A leading Indian contemporary artist, also called Paul Klee of India, Kolte is known for his strong, vibrant abstract works, characterised by singe, dominant hues. His works has an influence of Paulm evident from his technique of weathering strong colours.
Kolte says he looks to approach a work for purely for the joy of appreciating colour and lines. Known for his abstracts, his works are characterised by lighter and complex forms, with strong single dominated colours being the essence, gradually changing his form to more finished techniques and colours in his works moving away from the weathering technique, strong hues, still being the dominance in his works.
